THE FIRST 2 WEEKS

The First 2 Weeks is an optional service provided for new or seasoned mothers who require 24 hour, hands-on care.  This service is perfect for someone who has experienced past postpartum depression, as a gift for first time parents who don't have nearby support, or for parents who feel a bit of trepidation easing into their newest roles.

We help reduce the overwhelm and anxiety commonly experienced when bringing home a new baby or twins.

Your Postpartum Doula or Newborn Care Specialist will live-in for 2 weeks and provide all the traditional care (see above) plus healthy meal & snack preparation for mom. Our company focuses on holistic health and your Doula will:

•  Provide help in developing a routine that works for your family

• Observe and advise on sleep patterns and schedules from Day 1

• Make sure mother is healing well with reduced amount of stress

• Work with mom to develop a menu suited to her palate, hormones, healing and nursing needs

• Accompany family members to doctor's appointments and keep record of baby and mother's needs and changes

• Doula works with family to coordinate her personal hours of respite OR 2 doulas may work in tandem

• Live-in accommodations (bed in nursery is acceptable) with separate restroom and meals
